Plant Outings

from $5.00

These wanderings at McLane Creek Nature Trail are a great way to learn native plants, botanize with friends, and enjoy a beautiful afternoon outdoors! Our Outings feature different plants based on the time of year. You can choose the group that suits your needs, whether you're a beginner or expert! Some group leaders will aim to be out for just about an hour, while others might go for 1.5 to just under 2 hours. Discover pass required.

Scholarship Donations allow us to provide limited free tickets to expand who is able to join these events. If you'd like to apply for a scholarship, please fill out this form (opens in a new tab) and we will be in touch!

Second Thursdays in May, June, and July, 6 to 7:30 p.m. (check-in 5:30-5:55, some groups will choose to go late)

Safety & Documentation:

  1. Liability Waivers: If you haven’t signed a waiver in 2023, we need an updated form from you. We will also have waivers available at check in, but you can save time by printing your own and completing it in advance. You can access our waiver here.

  2. If you are under 18, you will need to have a parent/guardian signature on our liability waiver in order to participate - if you're being dropped off, please ensure that is done before your guardian departs!
