Mahonia aquifolium - Grab Bag Bargains (Tall Oregon-grape - Dwarf cultivar or Species)

$4.50
Sold Out (Use Waitlist)

Let our mishap save you cash! We mixed up our cultivar ‘Compacta’ hybrid Tall Oregon-grape that has a dwarf growth habit with the straight species, which ultimately grows tall.

We’ve been holding them in pots for too long, and they just want to get into the ground and start growing. Too much time spent in pots has left them looking a little bit rough, but we know they’ll take off once they are liberated from the confines of their pots!

If you are OK with either a dwarf or a tall sun-loving Oregon-grape, take advantage of this deal for your restoration project, hedgerow, or some other part of your landscape where you don’t need the perfect-looking Oregon-grape to get started.

Whichever form they are, these originated as our native Tall Oregon-Grape, renowned for its shiny evergreen foliage, sweet-smelling bright yellow flowers and blue fruits loved by birds and pollinators. It typically grows around 6-8 ft. tall, but long-lived plants can grow over 10-15 ft. over time if not trimmed! It thrives in a variety of soil types and moisture conditions. Prefers full sun to part shade.
