Viburnum x burkwoodii (Burkwood Viburnum) 5 gal

Out of Stock

Highly prized for its early-blooming and spicy-sweet fragrant flowers, Burkwood Viburnum is a densely branched deciduous to semi-evergreen shrub that is suitable for many garden settings or as part of a multi-species hedgerow. Like most viburnums, it is tolerant of many garden conditions, thriving in full sun to partial shade and most soil types, and surviving our droughty summers with no supplemental water once established.

It ultimately reaches about 6-10 ft. tall x 5-7 ft. wide, though it will adapt as it grows to fit within constrained landscapes. The foliage is a glossy dark green, turning burgundy in fall, with some leaves persisting over winter, especially in milder years.

The white flowers support a wide range of pollinators and beneficial insects, and the fruits that follow are foraged by birds.
