This ‘Coral Reef’ Beebalm cultivar has an extended bloomtime from mid- to late summer, luring hummingbirds, butterflies, and other pollinators into the garden. Its fragrant flowers atop deep-green foliage are a bright coral pink, which complements most other flowers in the landscape.

Beebalms work in a variety of soils, even heavy clay! This cultivar is a mildew-resistant variety. The plant forms vigorous clumps 3-4 ft. high and 2-3 ft. wide, with strong stems that never need staking. Perfect for the mid- or rear section in a mixed perennial/shrub planting.

Deer and rabbits generally avoid this, due to the fragrant flowers and herbal-scented foliage, but you’ll support bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds into the fall, as long as the flowers keep blooming (you can extend the bloomtime with a little deadheading).

Like all beebalms, this is best in full sun to partial sun, and is drought-tolerant once established. About every three years, divide the plants and share with friends or plant them in another sunny space in your garden.
