Armeria 'Victor Reiter' (Victor Reiter Sea Thrift) 4-in.

$5.85

This diminutive, tough, sun-loving perennial has pale pink, pom-pom shaped flowers that bloom for weeks in the late spring and—with deadheading—will repeat again in the fall. The strong, grass-like leaves are evergreen and form dense 4-6 in. high and 6-12 in. wide mounds that thrive in full sun in rock gardens, as edging along pathways or between pavers.

‘Victor Reiter’ is an especially compact form, with flowers floating on sturdy stems just above the foliage. Attracts bees and butterflies, is deer-resistant, drought tolerant, and generally disease and pest-free, but does require adequate drainage.

This is a cultivar of our native Armeria, found in our South Salish prairies and in maritime environments along the Pacific Coast, which explains its common names, Sea Pink or Sea Thrift.
