Sidalcea hendersonii (Henderson's Checkermallow)

$0.00

Uncommon PNW native that's terrific in rain gardens or any part of the landscape, as it's adaptable to a variety of conditions.

Henderson"s Checkermallow features bright-pink flower clusters resembling hollyhocks rising on stems 2-5 ft. tall, and attracting lots ofbees and butterflies.

Sidalcea spreads by rhizomes, and can be an aggressive spreader in the right situation, making it a great Zone 1 plant for rain gardens, paired with other great spreaders like Slough Sedge.

Plant in full to part sun and water only deeply and infrequently while it"s getting established, to promote future drought tolerance.
