Helleborus x glandorfensis "Ice N' Roses Early Red" (Ice N' Roses Early Red Hellebore)

$0.00

Brighten up the winter months with this very early-blooming hellebore, which flowers as early as November, and features outward- and upward-facing deep red flowers that last as late as April!

Like other hellebores, they are evergreen perennials that prefer a shady location but are tolerant of partial sun. Plants grow 15-18 in. high by 24-30 in. wide in well-drained soil, and will be drought-tolerant once established.

Hellebores will add interest to your winter garden, provide some nectar to early-foraging bees, and are deer and rabbit resistant.

Hellebores prefer a shady location, but will tolerate partial sun; topping them with 2-3 in. of compost in the root zone will retain moisture and keep the roots cool in the summer. Cut the old leaves back before bloom so you can appreciate their fresh, shiny leaves and flowers.
