This herbaceous perennial is native to our South Salish prairies and is widespread in North America (thus its common name!). Its extended bloom time makes it an excellent pollinator plant, supporting beneficial insects with its pink, white (or both) abundant spays of small daisy-like flowers in late spring to mid-summer.
Mature stands of this species can reach over 2 ft. tall. Leave them for beneficial insects to use over winter, or shear back for a tidy effect.
Common Fleabane performs best in full to partial sun, and is tolerant of dry soils and drought.
