Dianthus hybrida 'Cherry Moon' (Cherry Moon Border Pinks)

$0.00

This Dianthus cultivar produces vibrant, cherry-red double blooms with a ruffled edge that are reminiscent of old-fashioned carnations. The flowers are held atop strong, sturdy stems that rise above a compact mound of blue-green evergreen foliage, providing a lovely contrast of color and texture.

A sweet and petite plant for the front of the border, rock gardens, or containters, it grows to only 4-6 inches tall and 8-12 inches wide. "Cherry Moon" Dianthus will delight you with its sweet and spicy fragrance and the pollinators it attracts to enjoy its nectar. The strong scent makes it a bit deer-resistant, as well.

Plant in well-drained soil and full sun. It is drought-tolerant once established and can even handle a bit of light shade. To keep it looking its best, deadhead the spent blooms regularly to encourage it to continue producing flowers.
