Join our partners and us at the Thurston County Community Planning and Stream Team to steward the beautiful McLane Creek Nature Trail by removing Yellow Archangel. Over the many years that we’ve stewarded the trails along this creek, we’ve seen how this noxious weed has spread throughout the lower portions of this forest and is outcompeting critical native species. By helping us remove this weed, you will help native plants repopulate the lower level of this forest, thereby augmenting native plant diversity and supporting the wildlife that depends on this ecosystem.
Please bring your favorite pair of gloves, small hand tools like gardening knives, and a water bottle. We will have a container from which to refill your water bottle and light snacks for volunteers.
