Bareroots & Bulbs: Planting Work Party

Help us pot up a fresh delivery of native bulbs and bareroot perennials for future projects! This is a lovely time to come learn with us while seeing the diversity of species in our nursery located near Littlerock Road! We’ll be starting at 9:30 a.m. but we’re a little unsure on the end time so please just keep that in mind. As always, “come when you can, and stay as long as you want.”

If you’re interested, please email us so we know to expect you!

Here are the details that you’ll need:

Our nursery is located within a private farm at 5047 Gifford Rd SW, about 10 miles south of downtown Olympia. Please let us know if you need carpooling options from the Olympia area. As you turn into the driveway, you'll drive slowly past the house and some garage-like buildings on your right, and then veer slightly left as you make your way to the back of the paved area.

Here's how to prepare:

  • Please dress in layers to adjust for changing temperatures as the day warms up, and wear clothes that can get a little dirty. It can be windy on this site, so err on the side of bringing a layer that will keep you warm if needed.

  • Wear comfortable footwear, as we'll be standing on hard surfaces.

  • If you have physical limitations, please advise us so we can accommodate your needs.

  • If you have your own gardening gloves, please bring them. Otherwise, we can loan you some!

  • Please bring your own water bottle and a snack if you need it.

If you need to reach us, please call 360-292-8429. If we don’t answer, please call us back again, as reception can be spotty.

We look forward to seeing you on Sunday morning around 9:30 a.m.!
