Call for Volunteers
The Water-Wise Plant Sale is our largest fundraiser of the year, and helps the Native Plant Salvage continue to provide hands-on education and service opportunities throughout the year. With so many beautiful plants to prepare and sell, we would love to have your help! Whether you are a plant enthusiast, have a truck to drive plants, or are willing to carry plants around we have a job for you!
Come out to enjoy a few afternoons with your fellow plant enthusiasts, get a sneak peak at the plants, and support the NPS by volunteering between Thursday, April 27th and Friday, April 30th. See below for a brief intro to volunteer activities on each of the days leading up to the plant sale.
9:30 a.m. - 3 p.m.
Want to help us move plants from our nursery to the plant sale location? We will need volunteers to help load and unload plants, as well as volunteer drivers with vehicles capable of hauling many plants! Come when you can, stay as long as you like.
April 28 & 29
9 a.m. - 4 or 5 p.m.
Come when you can, stay as long as you like!
Before we can sell any plants, people need to know what they are! We’re going to spend the day Friday and Saturday, labeling plants, pricing them, and arranging them for the sale. The more the merrier for these beautiful afternoons outdoors, so let us know if you can join us for any amount of time. Bonus: you’ll get a sneak-peak at the best of our selection!
Multiple shifts: volunteers needed from
9:30 a.m. through 5 p.m.
Volunteers will be divided into a morning shift and an afternoon shift. Depending on the commitment, morning volunteers will need to arrive between 9:30 and 10:15, with afternoon volunteers coming when they can.
There are lots of jobs for all physical abilities, and you can choose what fits best for you! We'll need volunteers to help tally plants, answer questions, assist with parking management, staff the reserved plant area, etc. Just let us know your interest and availability!
Please fill out the following form to let us know when you can volunteer!
