A guide for Puget Sound residents concerned about protecting their property and the health of the Sound. Featuring experts in coastal geology, marine biology, shoreline planning and tree maintenance.

 

Those who live along the shores of Puget Sound know its joys-the views, close connection to marine wildlife, and quick access to the water. But there are also concerns and challenges for shoreline residents.

 

This 34-minute video will:

  • Explain natural processes that shape our beaches and shorelines
  • Introduce marine wildlife on our beaches
  • Provide help for residents who want to protect their property and Puget Sound

Plant It Right: Restoring Our Streams

 

Native Plant Salvage Foundation -  Olympia, WAStreamside planting projects are vitally important in the restoration of fish and wildlife habitat. The success of these restoration projects is directly tied to proper planting techniques and subsequent maintenance.
